HARMONY

If there is one thing that Hanspeter Wellendorff is passionate about collecting, it's gemstones. From time to time, he opens the house's treasure chest, whose precious selection he personally oversees; selects a special gemstone, from which he creates an exclusive piece of jewellery that perfectly showcases the stone's unique features.

MAGIC EMERALD. Necklace

MAGIC EMERALD necklace by Wellendorff

Crafted from yellow gold, the open design of the setting on the MAGIC EMERALD necklace holds the 10.72 ct. Colombian emerald securely in place and, at the same time, showcases it beautifully. The graceful heart cut allows the gemstone to shine in all its splendour. The open design of the setting allows light to shine directly onto the emerald, radiating a unique array of different vibrant shades from within. Two pure ropes made of 18-karat yellow gold, combined with 63 sparkling diamonds, 11 flawless baguette-cut diamonds and a small heart made from green cold enamel complement the deep green hue of the emerald. Allowing the MAGIC EMERALD necklace to be breathtakingly eye-catching.

Emeralds are among the most fascinating gemstones in the world. Their bright green colour and extraordinary impression of depth have always symbolised beauty, harmony and hope. The fine inclusions, typical of this type of gemstone, are known as "jardins" (French for "gardens"). They extend across the stone like fine, tree-like branches, lending it dimension and character, and making each emerald unmistakably unique. These internal structures attest to the natural formation of an emerald and highlight its authenticity.

MY MOMENT. Necklace

MY MOMENT necklace by Wellendorff

The sparkling highlight of the MY MOMENT necklace is a large 4.01 ct., flawless emerald-cut diamond, giving the necklace a simplified, modern yet timeless look. The open design of the yellow gold setting offers a fascinating view of the "floating" gemstone. Precision and perfection down to the hundredth of a millimetre are essential for the gemstone to sit securely in its setting. Secured only at the left and right edges by the discreet yellow gold setting, incident light hits the diamond from almost all sides, causing it to shine from within in a unique way.

Impressive with its understated elegance and wow factor, the necklace combines two 18-karat yellow gold ropes from the Pure Delight generation with sparkling brilliant-cut diamonds and clear baguette-cut diamonds that total an additional weight of 4.773 ct. An extension chain complete with a sparkling diamond clasp allows the wearer to vary the length of the necklace and provides the perfect space for a personalised engraving. Setting the piece apart is a small red heart, the meaning of which is determined solely by the wearer.

LOVE'S DELIGHT. Necklace

LOVE'S DELIGHT necklace by Wellendorff

The LOVE'S DELIGHT necklace features a 3.26 ct. ruby from Mozambique that captures everyone's attention. Skilfully cut in the shape of a heart, it symbolises one true love. The special highlight of this piece of jewellery lies in the elegantly crafted setting, which holds the impressive gemstone securely in place. While the outer edge of the setting highlights the cool white gold tone of the necklace, a warm yellow gold surface frames the ruby, causing the gemstone to glow in an especially warm shade of red. Incident light falls directly onto the ruby thanks to the open design of the setting, allowing it to shine with an exceptional luminosity. And the back of the setting is also a delightfully romantic surprise: in the centre of the smooth white gold surface, a surprising heart made of red cold enamel recalls the shape of the gemstone. Ten baguette-cut diamonds and 63 sparkling brilliant-cut diamonds that total an additional weight of 4.986 ct., as well as a radiant 18-karat white gold Brilliance of the Sun rope, perfectly complement the ruby and create a true "Love's Delight". The ruby takes its name from its intense red colour (lat. rubeus = red) and has always been regarded as the lucky stone of love. How fitting, then, that a small, red heart made of three-dimensional cold enamel gives this piece of jewellery its unique meaning.
